Covering key areas such as Birmingham City Centre, Solihull, Wolverhampton, Dudley, Walsall, Sutton Coldfield, West Bromwich, and surrounding West Midlands districts, you will play a critical part in shaping service standards, driving performance, and ensuring operational excellence across the region.
This position is ideal for an experienced operations professional who thrives in client-facing environments, excels at strategic planning, and is confident managing multisite teams in a fast-moving, service-led industry.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership & Regional Oversight
- Lead daily operations across the Birmingham and West Midlands region, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality services.
- Oversee multiple sites simultaneously, conducting regular site visits across areas including Solihull, Wolverhampton, Dudley, Walsall, and surrounding locations.
- Analyse operational performance at regional and site levels, identifying inefficiencies and implementing improvement plans.
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Client Relationship Management
- Act as the senior point of contact for key clients, ensuring service delivery meets contractual expectations and organisational standards.
- Attend regular client meetings to provide updates, discuss performance, and identify opportunities to enhance service provision.
- Develop long-term partnerships by delivering reliable communication, professional problem-solving, and proactive service insights.
- Lead on contract renewals, service expansions, and proposals where required.
Team Leadership & People Development
- Manage, coach, and develop Operations Managers, Supervisors, and wider frontline teams across the region.
- Conduct regular 1:1s, performance evaluations, and professional development sessions.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning to maintain adequate staffing across all Birmingham and West Midlands sites.
- Promote a positive, collaborative culture where teamwork, accountability, and service excellence are prioritised.
Strategic & Financial Management
- Work closely with senior leadership to align regional operations with wider organisational goals.
- Prepare operational reports, forecasts, and performance summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor budgets, track spending, and oversee cost control across sites while maintaining operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve productivity.
Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
- Resolve complex operational issues with professionalism, accuracy, and urgency.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing service delivery and operational standards.
- Analyse performance metrics, client feedback, and site audits to drive ongoing efficiency improvements.
What Makes You a Strong Fit

- Have proven leadership experience in operations management across multiple sites.
- Are confident managing clients, stakeholders, and service contracts in a professional capacity.
- Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong, long-standing relationships.

- Understand the Birmingham and West Midlands region, including client demographics, workforce patterns, and travel considerations.
- Have experience in service delivery, logistics, facilities, retail operations, customer-facing services, or a related field.
- Hold a full UK driving licence and are comfortable travelling regularly between sites.
- Bring strong IT literacy, including Excel reporting, workflow systems, and CRM tools.
