Burtonsmith is a rapidly growing plumbing and heating company based in Wrest Park, Silsoe. We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Office Junior to join our small, friendly team. This is a newly created and varied role, offering an excellent opportunity to develop your administrative skills and grow within the business.

In this role, you will provide key support to our Contract Schedulers and Contract Manager, assisting with a wide range of administrative tasks. Responsibilities will include making and receiving calls, sending emails, liaising with clients and undertaking general office duties as required.

We are seeking an individual who is confident, positive and professional, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers, engineers and clients at all levels. Full training will be provided on our in-house systems, but you should already be proficient in using email, Microsoft Word and Excel.

We would love to hear from you if you have (or are willing to learn) the following skills:

  • Confidence in making and receiving telephone calls
  • Ability to handle complaints professionally via phone and email
  • Experience in ordering parts online or over the phone
  • Competence in updating and maintaining spreadsheets
  • Ability to prioritise workload calmly and efficiently
