Vehicle Body Repairer

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Car Body Work mechanic, in this role you will be responsible for repairing, restoring and maintaining vehicle body structures to manufacturer standards. This includes diagnosing damage, straightening frames, replacing panels, welding and preparing vehicles for painting. This role requires precision, technical skill, and a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and assess vehicle damage to determine repair requirements.
- Remove, repair and replace damaged body panels, bumpers, doors and other components.
- Perform routine maintenance on vehicles, including oil changes, brake adjustments, and tyre rotations.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Document all repairs performed and maintain accurate records of vehicle service history.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of repair tasks while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist in heavy lifting as required when moving parts or equipment during the repair process.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle repair.
- Ability to assess damage accurately and determine appropriate repair methods.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing vehicle issues.
