We are recruiting for a Commis Chef to join the team at the Village Inn pub, Thurlestone Hotel & Spa.

Live in accommodation is available in our fully refurbished staff accommodation just a 10 minutes' walk from the hotel.

The Village Inn is a part of the wider Thurlestone Estate, serving real ales, great gastro pub food and good cheer to everyone from new guests to old locals. The Village Inn is connected to the luxury, family-owned, 4-star 65-bedroom hotel situated on the spectacular South Devon coast. The hotel also houses the 2 AA Rosette Trevilder Restaurant, Voyage Spa, 9-hole golf course, as well as a range of sports facilities including tennis and a seasonal kids club.

About the role

As the Commis Chef you will be required to work as part of a team, consistently delivering Village Inn standards in food production and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To follow and maintain all procedures (HACCP, Health and Safety, COSHH and Food Safety Management) to the required standards to which training has been received.
  • To adapt and respond to different shift patterns and section needs.
  • To contribute to the daily MEP of the section.
  • To prepare and serve food dishes.
