Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our nursing home, Oakwood House. This vital role involves managing front desk operations, providing exceptional customer support and ensuring smooth office functionality. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, personable, and proficient with office management tools, ready to handle a variety of administrative tasks with enthusiasm and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors and clients warmly, ensuring they feel welcomed and attended to promptly.
  • Answer phone calls efficiently, directing calls to appropriate departments or personnel with excellent phone etiquette.
  • Handle incoming correspondence, including emails, post and deliveries, ensuring timely distribution.
  • Showing prospective residents and their families around our nursing home.
  • Support administrative tasks, including data entry, archiving & record keeping using computer literacy skills.

ABOUT YOU

You'll need to be reliable, professional, caring, courteous and well organised to join us as a receptionist.

You'll take a real interest in our residents and go out of your way to make every visitor feel welcome. No formal qualifications are required but you will need a good telephone manner and strong communication skills.

This role will involve weekdays and alternate weekends. The working hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

All job offers are subject to satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.25-£12.75 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
