Product Manager

£650/day (Inside IR35) | Initial 6-month contract | Hybrid (London)

Candidate must be eligible for SC clearance

We're partnering with a central government department to hire a
Product Manager
to define, own, and solve problems across digital products. You will manage products from discovery through live operations, support senior product managers, and help shape the team's delivery approach.

Your role:

  • Manage products through discovery, alpha, beta, and live stages.
  • Support senior product managers, and potentially line manage associate product managers.
  • Own financial outcomes by linking work to business cases and ensuring products deliver measurable benefits.
  • Influence strategy and secure stakeholder buy-in, adapting approaches as required in ambiguous or fast-paced environments.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to implement innovative solutions and AI tools where applicable.
  • Communicate complex concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders across government departments.

About you:

  • 5+ years' experience managing digital products and teams.
  • Proven Product Manager experience, ideally within large, complex, regulated environments (central government experience highly desirable).
  • Strong agile delivery expertise and experience managing products through multiple lifecycle stages.
  • Experience implementing innovative technologies with measurable impact; knowledge of M365 Copilot is desirable.
  • Skilled in operational and financial ownership, with experience linking products to business outcomes.
  • Excellent problem-solving, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts to senior non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments with a test-and-learn mindset.
