Sales and Marketing Manager

The Sales and Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing effective strategies to increase brand awareness, attract new customers, and drive revenue growth. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on marketing execution, requiring creativity, commercial awareness, and excellent communication skills.
The position involves managing sales activities, marketing campaigns, and customer relationships while aligning all efforts with the company's overall business objectives.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales Management
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to achieve monthly and annual revenue targets.
- Identify new business opportunities, markets, and potential clients.
- Manage and maintain relationships with existing customers and partners.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and quotations.
- Monitor sales performance, produce reports, and adjust strategies where needed.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals in line with company policy.
Marketing Strategy & Implementation
- Create and implement marketing plans to promote products, services, and brand visibility.
- Manage digital marketing activities, including website updates, SEO, email campaigns, and social media.
- Plan and oversee advertising, PR, and promotional events.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform strategy.
- Manage marketing budgets effectively to maximise ROI.
- Measure and report on marketing campaign performance using analytics tools.
Brand & Communication
- Ensure consistent brand identity and tone of voice across all channels.
- Develop marketing materials such as brochures, presentations, and digital content.
- Oversee public relations activities, press releases, and partnerships.
- Represent the company at exhibitions, networking events, and trade shows.
Team Leadership (if applicable)
- Manage and motivate the sales and marketing team to achieve targets.
- Provide coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
- Coordinate cross-departmental collaboration to align marketing and sales objectives.
Person SpecificationEssential Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience as a Sales and/or Marketing Manager or similar role.
- Strong understanding of sales processes, marketing principles, and digital marketing channels.
- Experience developing and managing campaigns across multiple platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce) and marketing tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Mailchimp).
Desirable
- Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience within [insert sector – e.g. sports, hospitality, retail, education, etc.].
- Experience in managing budgets and achieving measurable growth results.
