The Role

What You'll Be Doing:
- Supporting the delivery of health and safety policies and procedures across our sites
- Assisting with risk assessments and incident investigations
- Helping to promote a culture of safety, wellbeing, and continuous improvement
- Maintaining records and ensuring compliance with regulations
- Working closely with all teams across the Council to provide friendly, practical advice on staying safe
- Supporting our operational safety, community safety and resilience colleagues in their functions
- Learning on the job and working towards completing your Safety, Health and Environment Technician Apprenticeship standard level 3.
What We're Looking For:
- A keen eye for detail and a genuine interest in health and safety
- Great communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
- Some experience or qualifications in health and safety (e.g., IOSH) would be great, but we are thrilled to support the right person to train and grow in the role
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Office applications
