Job Description Our client is an established compliance company known for their expertise in various sectors including asbestos, fire safety and health & safety. They are currently recruiting for an experienced and knowledgeable Health & Safety Consultant based in and around the Lancaster area. Ideally, they are looking for an individual who holds the CMIOSH or equivalent advanced health & safety qualification and will be experienced in carrying out risk assessments and health & safety audits. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate their specialist knowledge of all relevant health & safety legislation and ability to apply this within the role. Applications from Morecambe, Fleetwood, Marshaw, Garstang and the surrounding areas will be considered. Qualifications & Experience Must come from a strong technical/consultancy/management/auditing asbestos/legionella background. Possess the relevant NEBOSH – CMIOSH certificates – Health & Safety qualifications are essential. Practical working experience within the specified industries e.g. asbestos, legionella, fire would be beneficial. Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal. Have the ability to prioritise own workload. Must be able to deliver presentations. Must have an excellent technical knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, policies & procedures. Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package – Database. Flexible attitude towards work with a willingness to travel. Responsibilities of the Role Carrying out on-site inspections relating to the Health & Safety performance of the teams. Undertaking Health & Safety risk assessments addressing any issues that arise. Carrying out Health & Safety, Staff and Compliance audits, etc. Providing technical support to the company’s clients. Producing comprehensive Audit, Health & Safety and Environmental reports.
