A fabulous 2 form entry Primary School in the BS11 area of Bristol is looking for a Qualified Teacher to work with a small group of children who have additional needs. 

This highly regarded Primary School is supportive to pupils, parents and their staff. 

They have a Special Educational Needs unit as part of their school where children with additional needs work closely with staff members to challenge themselves but learn and grow at their own pace. 

The Role 

As a successful candidate, you will be working closely with Class Teachers across the school and working with children from different year groups. 

Your role at this school will be to support children with SEN or additional needs with their work. You will need to use your teaching knowledge and initiative to adapt lessons to allow children to access their learning. 

You will be expected to: 

  • Have high expectations of the pupil you will be working with. 
  • Have great knowledge of the Primary Curriculum. 
  • Be a team player - able to communicate clearly. 
  • Resource creative activities to meet the needs of the pupil. 
  • Liaise with other Class Teachers. 
  • Be a resourceful candidate, who can adapt lessons to meet the needs of individuals.
