· Manage, plan, and prioritise the QC Inspection team's daily activities to ensure planned schedules are met and all internal and external customer requirements are satisfied.

· Delegate functional responsibility and assist those individuals and advise them in the achievement of their job objectives.

· Maintain, develop, and build long-term working relationships within the QC Inspection team to foster a teamwork ethic.

· Develop and maintain systems to record team performance, work quality and waste.

· Adhere to administrative procedures and ensure work instructions are maintained.

· Promote a culture of continuous improvement and self-development.

· Appraise, train, and develop employees to maximise potential.

· Lead implementation of a 5S environment in Inspection Room and at other QC Inspection team workstations.

· Perform visual inspections of materials and components prior to manufacture, liaising with Stores and manufacturing as required.

· Take responsibility for quality control of all manufactured components within the Stonehill site.

· Perform mechanical inspections of in-process and finished manufactured components via CMM and manual equipment in a timely manner so as not to delay production.

· Responsibility for acceptance or rejection of materials, in-process and finished items according to defined requirements.

· Read and understand technical documents/drawings and specifications, including dimensioning and tolerancing.

· Assist in developing product Quality Plans to define required inspection needs.

· Understand business implications of quality monitoring and measurement.

· Manage reject documentation/processes in accordance with company procedures, returning clearly identified components and paperwork to the relevant team leader.

· Complete concessions and product investigations as required and to company procedures.

· Perform internal calibration of measurement equipment for all divisions on the Stonehill site, as directed by Q&E team manager.

· Keep measurement equipment operating accurately by following operating instructions, calling for repairs/calibration as required.

· Aid in quality system certifications to ISO 9001, AS9100, and any other specified standards.

· Assist in continuous improvement with a focus on the quality of manufactured components.

· Provide a professional, quality support service to both external and internal customers at all times, including direct liaison with external customers where required.

· Recommend adjustments to processes or products to improve their quality.
