The role of **Supplier Quality Engineer** is a particularly important one. This position is based in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire and will also include a little bit of occasional international travel. You will be joining a well-established globalcompany who are at the forefront of their industry. The role is available due to an internal promotion within the team.

Reporting to the Operations Quality Manager, you'll work with an established supplier base, ensuring quality standards are consistently maintained as well as working with new and existing suppliers on effective delivery of improvement and NPI projects.

**The Role**:

- Use APQP / PPAP methods to deliver new parts to manufacturing
- Manage suppliers to ensure accountability for part conformance
- Address supplier quality issues by driving corrective and preventative actions
- Support internal and external audits
- Develop and maintain good relationships with internal departments
- Deliver new components / projects on time and to budget
- Generate and maintain supplier quality-related documentation
- Effective stakeholder management
- Report KPIs
- Review supplier documentation including 8Ds, drawings, design for manufacture feedback
- Adhere to change management processes

**About You**:

- Ideally an engineering degree with experience in a Supplier Quality Engineering role
- Broad knowledge of manufacturing processes and validation procedures
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Valid Passport & Driving License and a willingness to travel both nationally and internationally
- Experience managing multiple suppliers in high value, high-tech manufacturing
- Knowledge of microelectronics manufacturing processes
- NPI experience
- Able to interpret and understand technical drawings
- QMS Experience
