Responsibilities

  • Assist in food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
  • Support the cooking process by preparing ingredients and ensuring timely delivery of dishes
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations
  • Assist in plating and presentation of dishes to meet quality standards
  • Help with inventory management, including stock rotation and restocking supplies
  • Support serving staff during busy periods, ensuring smooth service flow
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment at all times

Experience

  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment or restaurant setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods is advantageous
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices is desirable
  • Experience in meal preparation and supporting kitchen operations will be beneficial
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are essential
  • A genuine interest in culinary arts and a willingness to learn from experienced chefs
