What this role is all about:
As a Supplier Performance Manager, you're at the heart of creating outstanding experiences for our customers. Your role isn't just about managing contracts-it's about building strong, trusted relationships with our suppliers and inspiring them to deliver their very best.
You'll work hand-in-hand with teams across the business to make sure suppliers consistently meet their commitments, tackle challenges head-on, and find smarter ways to improve service and efficiency. By combining strategic thinking with a focus on operational excellence, you'll help shape a supply base that's resilient, high-performing, and ready to exceed expectations.
Key Actions
- Create strong supplier partnerships and develop supplier engagement
- Manage supplier performance, delivery, quality, and risk in line with contractual requirements
- Ensure consistent compliance with contractual terms and proactively address issues, risks, and controls within the established governance framework
- Develop and implement strategies to optimise supplier performance and achieve cost savings
- Analyse financial data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and value
- Foster strong cross-functional relationships with internal teams supported by suppliers, collaborating to drive process improvements and enhance supplier performance
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of improvement initiatives, ensuring effective implementation and measurable outcomes
- Lead regular service and quality reviews, providing clear analysis and actionable insights on supplier performance to stakeholders, including executive leadership
What do you need to thrive?
- Ability to build and sustain strong partnerships with suppliers, fostering engagement and collaboration.
- Competence in analysing supplier performance data, financial metrics, and identifying areas for improvement or cost savings.
- Strong skills in identifying issues, developing effective solutions, and ensuring timely resolution to maintain service quality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to a range of stakeholders, including executive leadership.
- Experience working closely with internal teams to drive process improvement initiatives and enhance supplier performance.
- Ability to lead and implement improvement initiatives from conception to conclusion and demonstration of benefit.
- Knowledge of governance frameworks and experience in maintaining risk and control standards across supplier relationships.
- Proficiency in conducting regular service and quality reviews, delivering clear and actionable insights to stakeholders.
