Your role & responsibilities are:

COMMERCIAL

  • Build on our loyal customer base by ensuring that you and the team provide a
    warm and welcoming environment
    that maximises the
    customer experience
  • Actively focus on the
    turnover of the store
    and drive the communication and achievement of this with the team
  • Passionately assist in enhancing the performance of all retail
    KPI's
  • Be proactive in assessing
    customer needs
    and sharing these with the Store Manager to
    support seasonal buys
    and maximise sales
  • Keep your finger on the pulse of
    local, brand and social activity
    to promote and suggest relevant brand events
  • Be considerate of all
    controllable costs
    and budgets

PEOPLE

  • Aid or lead
    motivational team briefs
    for the daily knowledge, goal setting and engagement of the team
  • Assist in the
    recruitment and induction
    of the team. Showcasing the highest standards and setting all up for success
  • Confident in offering
    feedback
    and coaching in the moment to develop team skills, maintain high standards or to highlight and assist with under performance
  • Provide on-the-job and retail training to
    aid the continual development
    of the team
  • Support the
    cascade of relevant business information
    to the team

PRODUCT

  • Use your
    VM skills
    to assist in ensuring product on the shop floor is always presented to an outstanding standard
  • Respond to commercial performance such as
    best/slow sellers
    and stock levels to assist the effective
    product placement
    to maximise sell through and sales
  • Support a consistent approach to
    replenishment
    ensuring product availability
  • Ensure efficient turnaround of
    deliveries, transfers and customer orders
    , following all stock management processes
  • Aid the planning and preparation of successful
    end of season sales

OPERATIONS

  • Ensure the shop floor and back of house standards are maintained to the highest levels of cleanliness
  • Monitor security standards and procedures to
    minimise stock loss
    , reporting any stock misuse or theft immediately to your Store Manager
  • Support the management of team
    rotas
    ensuring adequate cover is in place
  • Ensure efficient
    store opening and closing
    including accurate
    till
    reconciliation
  • Promote all
    HR policies and procedures
    ensuring they are adhered to by yourself and your team.
  • Monitor all relevant
    H&S requirements
    to ensure compliance and the safety of yourself, team, customers and visitors always
  • Assist in the completion of
    all relevant store reporting and or paperwork

Requirements:

  • Be a brand ambassador, always keep at front of mind the brand strategy and values
  • Be responsible for all aspects of the store in the Store Managers absence
  • Good knowledge of retail and management skills
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and delegate
  • Take pride in demonstrating outstanding customer service for self and team
  • Friendly, helpful, confident and engaging personality
  • Excellent communication and relationship skills.
  • Positive 'can do' attitude, driven to achieve results
  • Passionate, enthusiastic, self-motivated and proactive in motivating a team
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including weekend working.
