About The Role
This role sits at the heart of Solace Jewellery's DTC product engine, responsible for managing the full product lifecycle - from trend and data analysis through to collection planning, sampling, e-commerce merchandising, and in-season trading.

You will combine an eye for product with a head for numbers, ensuring every collection is both on-brand and commercially successful. Working as part of the commercial team, you will lead the product and trading agenda to ensure our strategy translates into profitable, timely launches and strong ongoing performance through Shopify.

While initially focused on Solace Jewellery, this role will grow to include new product development and e-commerce merchandising within our supplements brand, NothingFishy - providing the opportunity to broaden your impact across multiple fast-growing consumer brands.

Key Responsibilities

Trading & Merchandising

  • Analyse Shopify sales performance, basket behaviour, and competitor activity to identify new opportunities and refine the core range.
  • Make recommendations (markdowns, promos, heroing products) to maximise sales and margin - including managing slow movers, seasonal lines, and core hero products.
  • Own how products are presented online - setting the merchandising plan and working with Creative and our Ecommerce Exec to implement.
  • Deliver weekly and monthly trading reports with clear, actionable recommendations.

Range Building & Buying

  • Identify best-performing products and trends to inform seasonal and core collections that hit sales targets.
  • Conduct competitor research on product, pricing, and positioning to ensure we remain competitive and differentiated.
  • Select products and manage sampling/quality sign-off.
  • Propose RRPs based on past performance data and competitor benchmarking.
  • Ensure product and range decisions strike the right balance between short-term commercial performance and long-term brand vision.
  • Present commercial cases for new ranges/collections for leadership sign-off.

Product Lifecycle & Ownership

  • Manage the introduction, pricing, performance, and exit of products across categories.
  • Track sell-through and identify opportunities to rebuy, discontinue, or launch newness.
  • Maintain accurate catalogue data, ensuring categorisation and tagging drive effective discovery and conversion.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Identify hero products and campaign hooks to share with growth and retention teams.
  • Coordinate with Logistics to keep the critical path on track and ensure timely production and delivery.
  • Partner with Logistics to identify the right manufacturers and secure sourcing options that balance cost and quality.
  • Lead the product and trading conversation with leadership - presenting clear, data-driven commercial recommendations.

Future Responsibility – Wellness (NothingFishy)
Once established in jewellery, take on product development and e-commerce merchandising for NothingFishy.

Work closely with the commercial and operations teams to keep supplement launches on track, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.

Who You Are

  • Commercially strong: confident working with margins, pricing, and the levers that drive profitability in a high-growth DTC environment.
  • E-commerce and data-driven: comfortable working with Shopify, Sheets and sales reports, able to translate performance data into clear trading actions.
  • Product-savvy: passion for jewellery/fashion/consumer products, with an eye for trends but disciplined by commercial results.
  • Organised & proactive: able to manage sampling and launch timelines, suppliers, and critical paths in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative communicator: clear and persuasive, able to align ecommerce, marketing, logistics, and leadership around a product plan.
