Role Overview

Paperplanes is transforming direct mail marketing for ecommerce brands through automated, data-driven solutions. We're seeking an experienced Demand Generation Manager who brings an extensive blackbook of relationships with Shopify-powered DTC brands and a proven record of crafting pipeline-driving campaigns for SaaS platforms.

Key Responsibilities


• Develop and execute targeted demand generation campaigns attracting Shopify and DTC ecommerce clients.


• Leverage personal network of Shopify DTC brands for strategic outreach and partnership.[3][4]


• Plan and optimize multi-channel programs (email, paid media, direct mail, ABM, webinars, digital content) to maximize qualified lead generation and engagement


• Own the full-funnel growth engine — from top-of-funnel awareness to SQL and new revenue conversion.


• Collaborate with product, content, and sales teams to align messaging, campaign themes, and rep activation.


• Design and manage nurture flows, A/B tests, and conversion-focused landing pages; optimize performance using analytics tools (GA4, HubSpot, Looker Studio, Segment).


• Implement account-based marketing campaigns tailored for the DTC vertical


• Build and present actionable insights using dashboards; report demand generation experiment results to leadership


• Identify new high-value DTC verticals for platform growth opportunities, feeding into broader GTM strategy.

Ideal Experience & Skills


• 2+ years in demand generation, performance marketing, or growth roles—ideally within SaaS and ecommerce domains


• Demonstrable network/relationships with prominent Shopify DTC brands


• Mastery of CRM, marketing automation, attribution, and paid media tools (HubSpot, GA4, LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, email automation)


• ABM and partnership marketing experience targeting ecommerce/Shopify verticals.


• Data-driven approach: proficiency with campaign reporting, analytics, and optimization


• Track record of consistent pipeline build, qualification, and closed revenue in B2B SaaS.


• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to drive cross-functional collaboration.
