London, Greater London, United Kingdom Dojo Full time £86,000 - £114,900 per year

About the role:

Dojo has scaled to become one of the fastest-growing payment providers in Europe, processing millions of transactions daily. But our ambition doesn't stop at merchant payments—we are continuously evolving the technology that powers them.

We are looking for a Lead Product Manager - Platform to treat our internal platform as a product and our engineers as the customers. You will spearhead the mission to "rethink developer experience" at Dojo, owning the strategy for a new Internal Developer Portal - that consolidates our various portals into a single pane of glass that unifies our infrastructure, observability, and documentation.

This isn't just about building tools; it's about crafting golden paths that remove friction, automate compliance, and allow our engineering squads to focus on what they do best: shipping value. You will be the connective tissue between our Platform teams and the wider engineering organisation, using rigorous data and empathy to measure and improve true developer productivity.

What You Will Do:

Own the "Single Pane of Glass": Define and execute the roadmap for Dojo's Internal Developer Platform (IDP). You will transform disjointed tools into a unified, self-service ecosystem that acts as the source of truth for Service Ownership and System Health.

Measure What Matters: You will identify relevant quantitative frameworks (like SPACE and DORA and beyond) and qualitative metaphors like regular developer surveys to measure satisfaction, flow, and cognitive load to ideate and ruthlessly prioritize your roadmap.

Champion the Developer Journey: Map the end-to-end lifecycle of a Dojo engineer, from onboarding to production deployment. Identify "toil" and bottlenecks, and drive features that enable flow state.

Automate Governance: Work with Security and Engineering leads to embed policy-as-code into our templates and better visibility of infrastructure cost management. Ensure the "easiest way" to build at Dojo is also the secure, compliant and cost effective way.

Evangelise & Engage: Treat the platform as an internal SaaS product. Run beta programmes, user interviews, and roadshows to drive adoption and gather qualitative feedback from our polyglot engineering teams (Go,.NET, Python).

Influence Platform's Roadmap: You directly and indirectly steer and influence the roadmap for Platform's entire portfolio based on the finding from developer journeys and the success factors of the IDP.

Team Management: You will potentially lead the Sr PM and work closely with the Platform Leads to drive product practices across the Discovery and Delivery phases

What You Will Bring:

Product Mastery: 5+ years of proven experience as a Technical Product Manager, ideally within Platform Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, Developer Experience or an internal platform.

Technical Fluency: You speak the language of engineers. You are familiar with the cloud-native landscape (GCP, Kubernetes, Backstage, Terraform etc.) and understand the nuances of microservices architecture. You may have even been an engineer who has moved into product management.

Data-Driven Mindset: You are comfortable analyzing data alongside qualitative survey results to build a compelling business case for platform investment and leverage your technical background to bridge the gap between business needs and engineering execution

Customer Obsession: You understand that your "customers" are your colleagues. You have high empathy for the engineering experience and are relentless in solving their pain points.

Collaborative Spirit: You thrive in cross-functional teams and can influence stakeholders without direct authority.

People leadership: Experience directly managing others is a good to have, with the ability to coach a PMs.
