Job Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for an Administrator / Service Coordinator to join our friendly and professional team on a 12-month maternity cover contract.
We're looking for someone with a strong mix of administrative, customer service, and organisational skills -ideally with experience coordinating daily schedules for Fire and Security Engineers or in a similar service environment.
In this pivotal role, you'll ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations by managing engineer schedules, handling customer enquiries, and keeping administrative processes efficient and accurate.
Duties
- Coordinate and schedule Fire and Security Engineers for service, maintenance, and project work.
- Act as the first point of contact for all client enquiries, providing a professional and friendly service.
- Organise and issue servicing / maintenance programmes, and ensure compliance documentation is up to date.
- Manage administrative tasks such as issuing contracts, booking appointments, typing correspondence, and handling emails.
- Monitor and manage small reactive jobs and communicate progress updates to clients.
- Arrange site access for engineers and liaise with clients and management as needed.
- Maintain and update CRM and internal systems to ensure records are accurate and compliant.
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll need to bring:
- Strong communication, customer service, and administrative skills.
- Excellent planning and organisational abilities with attention to detail.
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience using CRM or bespoke software (training provided).
- A proactive and adaptable approach – able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Prior office-based administration experience, ideally in a Fire & Security or Engineering environment but not necessary.
- Your own transport due to our office location.
