What you will be doing:
We're looking for a proactive HS&E Advisor, ideally based in North West England to join Galliford Try's Infrastructure division, supporting a diverse range of highways projects across the North of England and Scotland.
You'll lead on assurance, monitoring compliance with our business management system, and providing clear, timely HS&E advice to project teams while helping drive a strong, positive safety culture and engaging with stakeholders to ensure our high standards are consistently met.
Please note that the role will involve regular travel across the North of England and Scotland, however day to day working locations are flexible and agreed periodic homeworking is an option.
Take a key role in site safety as the on-site HS&E lead, reporting to the Regional HS&E Manager and supporting safe delivery across a major scheme.
Champion day-to-day assurance and compliance, using a proactive "boots on the ground" approach to engage with teams and stakeholders.
Carry out monthly SSERs and regular inspections to monitor performance, spot trends, and drive continuous improvement.

About you:
Enthusiastic, IT-literate individual with a passion for learning; previous H&S or construction experience is beneficial but not essential.
Strong collaborator and team player with the ability to build effective working relationships.
Confident analytical thinker with solid problem-solving skills and the ability to find digital or technological solutions.
Skilled in digital tools (e.g., PowerApps, PowerBI, Excel, MS Office) with the ability to integrate, model and visualise data from multiple sources.
