Overview
We are seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our team.
This role is a 30 hour contract.
As part of the role you will help prepare and serve meals for residents and staff.
Cooking and cleaning skills are required, and you will be required to cook in the absence of the chef.
Responsibilities
- Keep all areas of the kitchen clean in accordance with work schedules.
- Help the cook in food preparation, serving, washing up , disposing of all waste food hygienically.
- Understand and adhere to Control of Substances Hazardous to Health regulations in accordance with Health & Safety Manual.
- Participate in training and development activities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Ensure that the care home environment is safe, clean, and welcoming for all residents.
Qualifications
- Basic food hygiene & previous experience of basic food preparation.
- Able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
