Support Worker – Children's Home (EBD)

Salary: £30,992 (including sleep-ins)

Location: Romford

Hours: Full-time, shifts including weekends and sleep-ins

Serenity Home Services is a therapeutic children's home supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). We are looking for compassionate Support Workers to join our team and make a real difference.

Responsibilities

  • Provide emotional and practical support to young people.
  • Help with daily routines, education, activities, and life skills.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with children.
  • Follow care plans and safeguarding procedures.
  • Keep accurate records and reports.
  • Work flexibly, including sleep-ins and weekends.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children or young people (EBD or similar needs).
  • NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People (desirable – training can be provided).
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain).
  • Empathy, resilience, and a child-centred approach.
