Head of Communications

We're looking for a Head of Communications to define and lead how our brand shows up in the world. You will own all PR activity, shaping the narratives, relationships, and moments that put us at the centre of cultural and industry conversation. This is a role for someone who understands the power of earned attention, who can craft stories that spread, and who knows how to turn brand strategy into headline-making moments.
You'll set the comms strategy, build relationships with key media, and lead high-profile campaigns that drive fame and trust. You'll be the architect of our external narrative with an instinct for what makes news, ensuring every story lands with impact.
This hybrid role is based three days per week in our London HQ.
What you'll do

- Work with brand strategists to craft key messages, story angles, and thought-leadership that reinforces the brand's vision and positioning. - Lead media relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with top-tier journalists, editors, and media platforms across consumer, lifestyle, business, and trade. - Drive earned media moments
- Identify opportunities to generate coverage, shape cultural conversation, and create memorable brand moments.
- Manage press activity end-to-end
- Oversee everything from press releases and briefings to events, launches, interviews, and issues management.
- Act as a trusted partner to leadership
- Work closely with senior leadership team to prepare for media opportunities, craft thought leadership, and shape high-impact announcements.
- Measure and refine impact
- Track earned coverage, sentiment, and share of voice, using insights to sharpen strategy and raise the bar.
Who you are
- 7+ years of communications and PR experience, ideally in fast-moving consumer or tech brands.
- A natural storyteller with a sharp editorial sense and an instinct for what makes headlines.
- A deep, active network across national media, lifestyle, business, and trade with a proven ability to place stories that matter.
- Strategic and creative, able to turn brand positioning into narrative platforms and earned moments that build both fame and trust.
- Experienced at handling high-stakes media moments, from major launches to reactive opportunities and issues management.
- A clear, persuasive communicator, both in writing and verbally confident briefing journalists, leadership, and creative teams alike.
- Organised and able to manage multiple storylines and campaigns simultaneously in a fast-moving environment.
- Culturally aware, plugged into trends, and always looking for smart ways to insert the brand into relevant conversations.
