Metalchemy is an innovation-driven startup specialising in sustainable colloids. Through our patented gold and silver colloids, we develop solutions for food preservation, healthcare, and cosmetics, with a mission to advance sustainability and improve global wellbeing.

The Role

We are seeking a motivated Founder's Associate to work closely with our CEO across business development, marketing, and operations. This is a unique opportunity to gain direct startup experience, contribute to strategic growth initiatives, and develop a broad skill set in a fast-paced environment. The role starts part-time within probation and offers a competitive salary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Lead generation, client outreach, proposal drafting, and event coordination.
  • Marketing Support: Assist with digital campaigns, social media management, and brand growth initiatives.
  • Grant and Investor Research: Identify funding opportunities and support grant applications and investor outreach.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies.
  • Operations: Support internal reporting, budgeting, inventory management, and cross-team coordination.
  • CEO Support: Work closely on strategic tasks, project management, and daily growth activities.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Chemistry, Nanotechnology, Engineering, or a related scientific field.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in business development, marketing, or administration, ideally in a startup or fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Excel, CRM tools (HubSpot), and basic design platforms (Canva) as well as AI and data analysis tools (ChatGPT).
  • Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills with positive mindset.
  • Interest in sustainability, deep tech, and business growth.

Preferred: Experience with grant writing, social media management, and data analysis tools.
