Warehouse Supervisor

MA Grigg Ltd is a long-established family business supplying agricultural, building, equestrian, country, and pet products throughout Cornwall and beyond. We are looking for a proactive and reliable Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the smooth and efficient running of our warehouse operations.
This role involves supervising the warehouse team, maintaining accurate stock levels, and ensuring all goods are received, stored, and dispatched safely and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, motivate, and support the warehouse team to meet daily operational targets
- Oversee goods-in and goods-out processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Organise and maintain warehouse layout and stock locations
- Work closely with the retail and purchasing departments to ensure smooth stock flow
- Carry out regular stock checks and assist with audits and reporting
- Ensure high standards of health and safety and cleanliness across the warehouse
- Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet trucks) safely and in line with company procedures
- Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics supervisory role (retail or agricultural preferred)
- Strong leadership and organisational skills with a hands-on approach
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Competent using stock control systems and Microsoft Office
- Forklift licence desirable (training can be provided)
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
