Osborne Appointments are recruiting for a Warehouse Supervisor based in St Neots on a Temp-Perm basis. This means you'll be working for OA for 12 weeks then become permanent with the employer.

The company is a Third-Party Logistics (3PL), supply chain and warehouse solutions provider in delivering customized end-to-end logistics, warehousing and supply chain services. Their core services are: inbound logistics, outbound logistics, repacking ofgoods, demand planning, warehousing and stock control and quality control support.

As a Warehouse Supervisor, your key role will be to handle outbound and inbound shipments in coordination with other Supervisors and Analysts involved in material planning, logistics and supply chain. This role also requires teamwork with warehouse teamleaders, other warehouse staff and
management team members.

Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate with Analysts to ensure all warehouse team get picklists, dispatch labels and delivery notes on time.
- Plan and arrange warehouse manpower (warehouse operatives, forklift drivers, waste management operatives etc) in advance in communication with management team members of the company.
- Mobilize warehouse operatives and forklift drivers as per day-to-day needs.
- Supervise and receive inbound shipments in coordination with other staff.
- He has also to take control of the Goods receipt note and denote if any damages sighted upon receipt.
- Take note of any issue in receiving the inbound deliveries and inform the same to other concerned team member in the company
- Supervise dispatches / outbound shipments by mobilising warehouse operatives, team leaders, forklift drivers
- Check and insure all outbound goods leave company as per the picklist and delivery notes issued by the Analysts of the company.
- Handover documents used in handling outbound shipments to the Analysts or concerned team member.
- Keep record of all inbound and outbound traffic and manage traffic as per the agreed and prespecified turnaround time.
- Ensure forklift drivers complete pre-use checklist on daily basis before driving Forklift trucks.
- Ensure forklift charging units and other equipment in warehouse are well maintained to avoid any issues / interruption in daily operations.
- Carry out a daily health and safety warehouse walk.
- Carry out other related works as per the guidance and instruction of management.

Skill and Job Requirements:

- Good working skill of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook Express
- Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written English
- Experience in warehousing, logistics, stock control and supply chain environment
- Experience of managing and supervising team in a warehousing environment
- Experience of using bar code scanners and using a Warehouse Management system
- Skill and experience of forklift driving would be an added advantage

Hours:

- Monday to Friday 8 am - 4 pm.
- With willingness to work during out of working hours and weekends in urgent circumstances.

Pay is from £12.03 p/h to £12.98 p/h depending on knowledge and experience.
