Are you an organised, proactive individual with experience in transport planning? We are a family-run haulage company with over 25 years in business, we're looking for a Transport Planner to join our friendly, hard-working team.

Key Responsibilities/Job Description:

  • Plan and schedule daily transport routes for a busy fleet
  • Support and communicate with drivers throughout the day
  • Ensure customers are kept informed and updated regarding deliveries and any issues
  • Monitor and manage changes or delays, finding practical solutions quickly
  • Maintain knowledge of driver hours regulations and ensure compliance
  • Use your excellent geographical knowledge to plan efficient routes
  • Complete and maintain accurate records and paperwork

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a transport planning or logistics role is highly advantageous
  • Excellent knowledge of UK geography and road networks
  • Good understanding of driver hours and transport compliance
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Calm under pressure, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • A flexible, can-do attitude and a keen eye for detail

Working Hours & Benefits:

  • Monday to Friday, 7:15 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Potential 5 hour Saturday shift WFH
  • Overtime structure in place
  • 28 days paid holiday per year (including bank holidays)
