Job Overview

We are looking for a reliable HGV C+E Container driver (tramper) to join our transport team in Blackburn. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong focus on safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage delivery schedules effectively.

Experience in the container industry is essential.

Duties

  • Start Date: Immediate
  • Operate a New Shape MAN HGV in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations. A minimum of two years' experience in HGV C1 is required.
  • Safely load and unload containers, ensuring proper securing of container on trailers.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transit.
  • Communicate effectively with the transport team and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while on the road.
  • Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, ensuring that goods are delivered timely.

Experience & Benefits

  • Proven experience as a Commercial HGV C1 Container Delivery Driver is essential.
  • Familiarity with skelly trailer operations is essential.
  • Valid Drivers CPC qualification & Digi Card
  • Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best driving practices.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.
  • A good understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures will be beneficial.
  • PAYE - £800 per week (Monday to Friday) + £25 nights out
  • LTD and Self-Employed Drivers also welcome at £1000 per week, including nights out
  • Fixed and punctual weekly pay.
  • All MAN TGX 510 are 70 or 22 plate

  • You will primarily operate from BB1 2QH; please check travel times before applying.
  • We are only operating MAN TGX 510 trucks, so you will only be driving these trucks during your time with us.
  • We offer competitive pay, but we are only looking for reliable and safe drivers, and you are expected to keep your truck clean and tidy.
  • This work is straightforward, and you will be well-supported by our planners.
