Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Guest Service Assistant join the historic Ince Blundell Hall Estate. As part of our charitable mission to provide unpaid carers in Sefton and Merseyside short respite breaks at the Hall, we are looking for a brand new team to welcome and make our guests feel at home

To provide a welcoming, friendly, and efficient service to residents and visitors at Ince Blundell Hall. The Guest Services Assistant ensures smooth operations in reception, hospitality, and events, taking an active role in engaging with guests to create a positive, enjoyable experience.

Main Responsibilities

Reception & Visitor Services

  • Greet residents and visitors warmly and professionally.
  • Answer phone calls, emails, and enquiries promptly and politely.
  • Take meal orders from residents and liaise with the kitchen to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Provide information about the hall, facilities, and local amenities.

Guest Engagement & Activities

  • Engage with residents to ensure a welcoming and enjoyable stay.
  • Assist with the planning, set-up, and running of activities and events.
  • Support residents during events and encourage participation where appropriate.
  • Respond to guest requests or concerns in a friendly and professional manner.

Administration & Office Support

  • Maintain accurate records, bookings, and communications.
  • Assist with basic administrative tasks such as filing, reporting, or scheduling.
  • Support internal communications between departments and staff.

Teamwork & Communication

  • Work closely with kitchen, housekeeping, and other staff to provide seamless service.
  • Communicate effectively regarding guest needs, requests, or feedback.
  • Attend team meetings and training sessions as required.

Health & Safety

  • Follow all site health and safety procedures.
  • Report any hazards, accidents, or maintenance issues promptly.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Enjoys engaging with guests and supporting activities/events.
  • Comfortable using office equipment and basic computer systems.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in reception, hospitality, or customer service.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
