We are dedicated to best practice in engagement, community relations, consultation, and stakeholder management across some of the country’s largest infrastructure projects.ResponsibilitiesDelivering meaningful communication and engagement activity to help clients deliver infrastructure projects by drafting and delivering effective stakeholder engagement strategies.Helping communities and stakeholders understand projects and how they may impact them by writing easy to understand communications and managing design and print processes.Giving people opportunities to ask questions and provide feedback through publishing communications, organising events, and running surveys.Presenting feedback to help projects develop responsibly by understanding, interpreting data and presenting themes, key issues, and managing the reporting process.Supporting clients in the UK and internationally by providing communication and engagement advice and activities such as developing virtual consultation rooms, posters, banners, public-facing maps, and community engagement events.Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver effective communication and engagement activity.Managing projects to ensure your timeline, budget, and resources deliver for clients.Preferred qualifications and educationDemonstrated experience delivering communication and engagement activity on multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.At least degree-qualified or equivalent.Experience in the road, rail, utilities, water, environment, or energy sectors.Preferred competenciesStrong team player who has an enthusiastic and motivated attitude.Proven experience of effectively managing and building stakeholder relationships.Excellent communication skills, including writing engagement strategies and reports.Well-ordered, structured approach to delivery of tasks, with flexibility to adapt within demanding and fast-changing environments.Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills to manage a varied workload.Membership of a relevant professional or trade body is desirable.BenefitsWork‑life balanceWe offer a hybrid working policy with two days a week from home and opportunities to collaborate in modern offices.Inclusivity & BelongingWe welcome applicants from varied backgrounds and allow people to bring their authentic selves to work.Health & WellbeingWe support our people with programmes such as the Thrive programme, virtual GP service, reasonable workplace adjustments, gym membership discounts, and comprehensive menopause support.Flex your timeWe offer “WSP My Hour,” part‑time and flexible working arrangements, the option to purchase additional leave, and using bank holiday entitlement.Your developmentWe invest in your growth through training, mentoring, and chartership opportunities.EEO Statement: Here at WSP we positively encourage applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates regardless of sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, religion or belief, marital status, pregnancy or maternity/paternity.
