Principal Engagement Consultant – WSP Join WSP's Engagement team. We are dedicated to best practice in engagement, community relations, consultation, and stakeholder management across some of the country’s largest infrastructure projects. Responsibilities Delivering meaningful communication and engagement activity to help clients deliver infrastructure projects by drafting and delivering effective stakeholder engagement strategies. Helping communities and stakeholders understand projects and how they may impact them by writing easy to understand communications and managing design and print processes. Giving people opportunities to ask questions and provide feedback through publishing communications, organising events, and running surveys. Presenting feedback to help projects develop responsibly by understanding, interpreting data and presenting themes, key issues, and managing the reporting process. Supporting clients in the UK and internationally by providing communication and engagement advice and activities such as developing virtual consultation rooms, posters, banners, public-facing maps, and community engagement events. Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver effective communication and engagement activity. Managing projects to ensure your timeline, budget, and resources deliver for clients. Preferred qualifications and education Demonstrated experience delivering communication and engagement activity on multidisciplinary infrastructure projects. At least degree-qualified or equivalent. Experience in the road, rail, utilities, water, environment, or energy sectors. Preferred competencies Strong team player who has an enthusiastic and motivated attitude. Proven experience of effectively managing and building stakeholder relationships. Excellent communication skills, including writing engagement strategies and reports. Well-ordered, structured approach to delivery of tasks, with flexibility to adapt within demanding and fast-changing environments. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills to manage a varied workload. Membership of a relevant professional or trade body is desirable.
