This hybrid role offers the best of both worlds: meaningful collaboration in our London office and the flexibility of remote work.The People Strategy Partner is a business-embedded and aligned People and Culture (P&C) leader responsible for aligning people strategy with business objectives and delivering agile, customer-centric solutions across a designated business or functional area of Viasat Government (VGOV). Reporting to the Senior Director, People Strategy Partner, this role acts as a strategic advisor, problem solver, and change agent, supporting workforce planning, talent development, organizational effectiveness, and cultural transformation.The People Strategy Partner addresses evolving business needs, defines talent problems, hypothesize and test solutions, and deliver outcomes that support both immediate priorities and long-term organizational goals. They work closely with business and functional leaders, employees, managers, and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to ensure people strategies are data informed, scalable, and aligned to VGOV’s mission and future readiness.The day-to-dayStrategic Planning & Business AlignmentPartner with business leaders to develop and execute people strategies that drive performance and support future workforce needsLead strategic workforce planning initiatives, including reskilling, upskilling, and succession planningAnalyze business data and KPIs to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and recommend proactive solutionsEnsure people strategies are aligned with VGOV’s long-term objectives and operational realitiesTalent Problem Solving & Agile Project DeliveryDefine talent-related challenges and lead short-cycle, agile projects to design and test solutionsCollaborate with COEs to access deep P&C expertise and deliver customer-centric outcomesEnsure solutions are scalable, sustainable, and aligned to long-term workforce and organizational goalsExample projects may include: implementing P&C dashboards and analytics to drive data-based decision making, developing and executing plans to address talent gaps, succession, and future skill needs in alignment with business strategy, developing and executing strategies to proactively pursue low-cost production to support business priorities, etc.Consulting, Coaching & Leadership SupportServe as a trusted advisor and coach to managers and functional leaders on people matters, organizational design, and change managementFacilitate leadership development and succession planning initiativesInfluence leaders to foster a high-performance, inclusive cultureOrganizational Development & Change ManagementLead or support transformation initiatives including restructuring, culture change, and M&A integrationDrive organizational design improvements to enhance productivity and business performanceChampion inclusion, and employee experience programsPerformance Management & AnalyticsImplement and support performance management processes aligned to business goalsUse people analytics to measure impact, inform decisions, and guide strategic interventionsMonitor engagement, turnover, and performance indicators within assigned areaStakeholder Management & CollaborationAct as a liaison between business units and P&C Centers of Excellence to ensure delivery of specialized servicesPartner with P&C Shared Services for efficient execution of transactional and administrative P&C supportBuild strong relationships across the business and P&C to ensure seamless execution of people initiativesWhat you'll needBachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or related field; HR certification preferred5+ years of experience in HR business partner, generalist, or employee experience rolesDemonstrated ability to lead strategic and agile HR initiativesStrong knowledge of workforce planning, organizational development, and performance managementExperience in defense, aerospace, or highly regulated industries preferredWhat will help you on the jobUnderstanding and working knowledge of:Strategic Thinking & Business AlignmentTalent Problem Solving & Agile DeliveryWorkforce Planning & Organizational DevelopmentConsulting, Coaching & InfluenceData Literacy & People AnalyticsCultural Intelligence & Inclusion AdvocacyStakeholder Engagement & CollaborationAt Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience.
