At Sumer, we're building something special - uniting ambitious regional firms and creating a high performing, people first culture across the group.
To support our ambitious People & Culture plans, we're looking for a People & Culture Business Partner to join our team, working across two of our London hubs – HW Fisher and Simmons Gainsford.
In this role, you will be the key People & Culture contact for your hubs, partnering with business leaders and line managers to deliver both Group-wide initiatives and local people priorities.
As a core member of the Hub Leadership Team, you'll bring the People & Culture perspective to strategic and commercial discussions, contributing confidently, challenging constructively, and influencing decisions that drive both business performance and a positive employee experience.
Working closely with our Shared Services team and Centres of Expertise (CoE), you'll act as a trusted advisor, combining strategic insight with practical solutions to ensure people considerations are embedded into every key decision.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver strategic People and Culture partnership across DEI, L&D, Talent Management, Engagement and Reward and Change.
- Translate Group people strategies into actionable local Hub plans
- Support Hub leadership teams with succession planning, workforce planning and talent development.
- Champion employee experience, engagement and the development of a healthy and sustainable culture.
- Collaborate with HR Shared Services to ensure operational excellence.
- Escalate and advise on complex ER issues beyond Shared Service remit.
- Partner with CoEs on initiatives such as DEI, Reward, Performance, and L&D etc.
- Use people data and insights to influence decisions and improve outcomes
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Proven generalist People and Culture experience at Business Partner level or equivalent
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Ability to balance strategic focus with operational delivery
- Experience supporting change and transformation initiatives
- Commercial awareness and business acumen
