We work with some of the world's major energy, maritime and industrial organizations, helping to enable a transition to energy efficiency and decarbonization, including through our specialist motors, drives and control technologies.Job DescriptionThe candidate must possess the ability to solve complex problems, provide operable solutions, act with minimal direction on their own initiative, and be adaptable as they will work on a variety of continuous improvement initiatives in support of the organization.The candidate will work within the current quality team reporting directly to the UK Quality Leader.ResponsibilitiesManage the company NCR system, provide management reports and drive the actions with the required stakeholders to resolution, using quality tools such as Kaizen, RCA, 8D, 5 Why, etc.Carry out product and process audits.Creation of project and manufacturing control plans.Ensure that control plans and associated documentation are implemented effectively and maintained throughout the lifecycle of the project.Monitor and report quality-related KPIs including Scrap, Rework levels, First Time Yield with dedicated manufacturing and supply chain weekly quality meetings.Promote zero defect and stop-the-line culture.Ensure compliance and assist with the QMS (ISO 9000:2015).Participate in cross-functional teams to aid development and identification of risk on new projects/processes, including the use of an FMEA approach.Meet with customers during project meetings and final inspections and prepare reports and presentations to support these meetings.Be flexible in approach and time management to support project timelines.Skills And AttributesAbility to work independently with minimal supervision.Knowledge of quality systems and measurement tools and techniques.Knowledge of Advanced Quality Planning (APQP), Part approval processes (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA).Lean Manufacturing knowledge, VSM, Gauge R&R.Understand engineering drawings (electrical and mechanical) and manufacturing processes.Knowledge of NATO standards AQAP2105/2110 etc.Knowledge of Microsoft programs such as MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.Qualifications And Experience LevelsRelevant business/commercial or manufacturing/engineering degree preferred, or HNC, or equivalent NVQ level 4 qualification.Ability to obtain SC Clearance.You can expect from usChallenging and exciting projects.A work environment where we understand that not everyone has the same expectations about their jobs, careers and work-life balance, and we are happy to discuss flexibility requirements.Attractive compensation.Flexible benefits so you can build a package that fits your personal needs.
