Role - Quality engineerLocation - West MidlandsQuality Engineer is key position within the Quality Function and will be responsible for the planning, execution, monitoring, performance and continuous improvement of Project and Operational Quality Management and Control.Reporting to the Operational Quality Manager or the Head of Quality, you will be responsible for day to day operational Quality Management and Control for the projects and/or processes you are responsible for / supporting.The Quality Engineer role is split across two inherently linked teams to provide complete Quality Assurance and Quality Control;Project Quality Engineers are essentially responsible for ensuring Projects are delivered in accordance with contractual specifications and business processes.Operational Quality Engineers are essentially responsible for ensuring that all processes are carried out in compliance specifications and business processes.Project Quality Engineer TenderingProject Kick offReview of Client SpecificationsProduction of Project Quality PlansReview / approval of MITPsFlow down of client Quality requirements to functions and suppliersProduction of contract specific ProceduresOperational Quality Engineer Goods Inwards inspection (review of documents and physical inspections)Raising & Management of Supplier Non-Conformance ReportsTraceability Control (audit and patrol throughout manufacturing facility)Patrol Inspection of manufacturing facilityRoute card operations/tasks as per planning system needsEnsuring process complianceEssential requirementsIdeally Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance or related subjectProven Engineering, Business Management, Manufacturing or related fieldNuclear Industry experience requiredKnowledge of ISO 9001, EN 3834, EN1090Lead/Internal Auditor in ISO 9001NCR generation and managementExperience of working to Quality Control GradingExperience of working in highly regulated industryExperience and understanding of process improvement
