ROLE – Quality & Manufacturing EngineerTERM – PermanentLOCATION – West MidlandsSALARY – £30,000 – £45,000, dependent on experienceMy client provides bespoke products and engineering solutions for manufacture. They are looking for a Quality & Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in the West Midlands on a permanent basis.The Quality & Manufacturing Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering or similarAt least 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing, production, or quality engineering rolePrevious experience working in a manufacturing or engineering environmentStrong understanding of quality tools and methodologies such as 8D, RCA, CAPA, FMEA or SPCKnowledge of manufacturing processes such as assembly, machining, sheet metal fabrication or plasticsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and work with tight tolerancesExperience working with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systemsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenProficient using MS Office and familiar with MRP/ERP systemsStrong organisational skills and excellent attention to detailAbility to work well both independently and as part of a small multi-disciplinary team The Quality & Manufacturing Engineer role will involve:Supporting and improving manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality and cost-effectivenessConducting inspections of components and assemblies to ensure compliance with specificationsManaging non-conformances, carrying out root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actionsLiaising with manufacturing providers and suppliers to resolve quality or production issuesCreating and maintaining production documentation including work instructions, process plans and reportsSupporting NPI activities to ensure new products are introduced smoothly and meet quality standardsProviding technical support to production teams and assisting with troubleshootingMaintaining accurate records within the MRP system including BOMs and routing updatesParticipating in internal and external audits and supporting continuous improvement initiativesWorking in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projectsIf you are interested in this position, please apply with an up-to-date CV as soon as possible.
