An exciting opportunity for a **Quality Assurance Officer** to join a West Midlands Local Authority on an interim basis.

Job Summary

The post holder will performance manage a portfolio of commissioned and in-house services. This will involve gathering, auditing, verifying and presenting performance management information, which may be complex and sensitive, from a range of service providers across the public, private and voluntary sectors.
- The post holder will assess quality of service provision with reference to service specifications, terms and conditions of contract and national statutory standards such as Care Quality Commission, making recommendations to the Quality and Safety Manager/Nurse for areas of action
- The post holder will also play a key role in supporting market development activity within the Service Area
- To support a market that is of high quality and that is sustainable through the provision of quality assurance of services commissioned and provided directly by the Council
- To monitor and evaluate the performance of service providers against contracted specifications and any required quality standards e.g. Care Quality Commission

**Requirements**:

- Standard DBS is required for this role (we can process one for you if you do not have one already)
- Understanding of social care policies and understanding of relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience of supporting procurement and collecting performance and financial information against contractual requirements
- A minimum of 1 years’ experience of working within or monitoring adult social care services against contractual requirements
