This is a broad generalist role, combining operational and strategic responsibilities. You will work closely with designated business areas to support, advise, and influence people-related activities and decisions, while also coaching and mentoring junior members of the team.This is a varied role with exposure to complex employee relations cases, HR processes, and international considerations, as well as opportunities to shape projects that strengthen our people strategy.What will you be doing?Act as the primary HR contact for assigned business areas, providing hands-on support and strategic guidance on people issues. Use HR data insights to support business decision-makingManage and advise on a wide range of complex Employee Relations (ER) matters including disciplinary, grievance, performance, conflict resolution and capability cases, ensuring alignment with employment law, regulatory standards and company policiesCoach and equip line managers to handle ER cases with confidence by providing guidance, tools, and training on absence management, performance, and disciplinary mattersProactively manage absence cases, including short and long-term sickness, coordinating interventions such as occupational health referrals and phased return-to-work plans. Liaise with benefit providers where required and conduct wellbeing check-ins to identify trends and opportunities to support engagementSupport on TUPE transfers and organisational change projects, ensuring smooth transitions and compliance with relevant legislationSupport the development and consistent application of HR policies and procedures, ensuring best practice and legal complianceContribute to, and where appropriate lead, HR initiatives and projects that support the broader people strategy (e.g. wellbeing, DE&I, employee engagement)Oversee processes related to visa sponsorship and UKVI compliance, including right to work checks, accurate record-keeping, and adherence to sponsor licence responsibilitiesSupport international HR matters, including cross-border mobility, employee transfers, and adapting HR processes for different jurisdictionsMentor and support junior members of the HR team, fostering their professional development and ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery of HR servicesBuild and maintain strong relationships across the firm to foster a positive work environment and ensure alignment between HR and business strategiesSupport the execution of annual HR processes such as performance reviews, compensation and benefits reviews/renewals, and policy updatesTravel to London on a business needs basisWhat skills and qualities are we looking for?Proven experience in an HR generalist role (HR Advisor, HRBP or HR Manager), ideally within a professional services or similarly complex environmentStrong employee relations expertise with a track record of managing complex cases and coaching managers to build capabilityDemonstrated ability to partner with senior stakeholders and manage end-to-end HR processesExperience of TUPE and organisational change projectsKnowledge and experience of international HR matters desirableStrong knowledge of UK employment law and best practice HR processesExperience of visa sponsorship and UKVI compliance desirableExcellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust quickly and challenge constructivelyHands-on, pragmatic and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to balance strategic input and operational deliveryComfortable working autonomously, managing multiple priorities, and adapting to a fast-paced environmentDetail-conscious, organised, and able to manage a high-volume workload accuratelyFlexible, resilient, pragmatic and discreet, with a collaborative mindsetStrong team player with the ability to motivate self and others; committed to coaching and mentoring colleaguesStrong IT skills, with comprehensive knowledge of MS Office applicationsWhat’s in it for you?Take a look at ourGlassdoor page to see why our people love being here As well as joining a multi-award winning, fun, collaborative, people first organisation where your personal and professional skills will be developed to make you the best you can be, we offer an attractive benefits package designed to promote your overall wellbeing so that you are able to perform to your full potential both in and out of work.
