SEN Teaching Assistant – Bury Area Location: BuryStart Date: ImmediateContract: Agency, Full-Time We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs in the Bury area. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of children who require additional support. You will be supporting children who have additional needs such as Autism, leaning disabilities, physical disabilities, high anxiety and challenging behaviour. You will make a vital impact in helping children succeed in education. Key Responsibilities Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons tailored to individual needs. Adapt learning materials and approaches to meet diverse SEN requirements. Support pupils with behaviour management and emotional regulation. Help maintain a positive and safe classroom environment. Provide one-to-one and small group support as directed by the teacher. Contribute to classroom organisation and maintenance. Requirements Previous experience working with children with SEN. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or Willing to obtain one – essential. Safeguarding training – essential and provided Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and resilience.
