The child is non-verbal, so experience with alternative communication methods is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities: Provide individualised support to a pupil with ASC, ensuring their safety and engagement throughout the school day. Implement strategies to promote communication, including the use of visual aids, PECS, or other assistive tools. Support the child’s social, emotional, and academic development in line with their personalised learning plan. Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt activities and resources. Assist with personal care needs where required. Maintain accurate records of progress and communicate effectively with staff and parents. Create a calm, structured environment to reduce anxiety and encourage positive behaviour. Requirements: Previous experience supporting children with ASC or complex needs.
