Interim Health, Safety and Environment Manager – Sites As a brand leader, The Silver Spoon Company—part of Associated British Foods—excels in baking and sweetening products. We seek an experienced Health, Safety & Environment Manager for a 12‑month interim role, where you will champion behavioural change and cultural development across our sites to maintain industry‑leading safety, wellbeing and environmental standards. The Role Implement and uphold the Safe Food & Safe People Strategy, ensuring compliance with all health, safety and environmental legislation. Lead the development and delivery of improvement plans, manage risk registers and oversee investigations, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions are effectively implemented. Support capital and operational projects, guaranteeing governance and compliance throughout. Design and deliver training and coaching programmes to embed best practices and behavioural safety, working closely with the wider HSE team to simplify and standardise systems across Silver Spoon. Provide hands‑on leadership, influencing, coaching and inspiring teams at two manufacturing sites (Bardeney, Lincolnshire and Bishops Stortford) and the head office in Peterborough, with regular attendance expected at all three sites. The Candidate Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) with NEBOSH qualification preferred. Strong understanding of behavioural‑based safety theory, with the ability to translate theory into practical application. Extensive HSE leadership experience within FMCG or food‑sector operations—production, warehousing, transport or logistics. Proven track record delivering safety behavioural change programmes and collaborating with third‑party suppliers on large‑scale investments. Excellent leadership and influencing skills, relationship‑building ability, drive for results, adaptability and empowerment of others. Ready to champion safety, wellbeing and deliver meaningful change during this 12‑month interim assignment.
