You will play a vital role in supporting and mentoring other members of the team.Utilising our video-otoscope and supported by specialist-led advanced anaesthesia and diagnostic imaging team you will utilise your knowledge and experience to proactively support patients undergoing investigations and out-patient treatment/ consultations for a wide range of dermatological conditions including, but not limited to, chronic otitis, allergic skin disease, endocrinopathies, immune mediated skin disease, parasitic skin disease and neoplasia.Working closely with our extensive multi-disciplinary specialist-led team, you will play a vital role in facilitating the patient journey throughout our large specialist hospital. The improvements do not stop here, with further additions to include a new diagnostic suite and ICU area, plus much more.We have an outstanding team of recognised specialists across a multitude of disciplines. We also have a dedicated rehabilitation team who provide physiotherapy and hydrotherapy to aide post-operative recovery. The care and comfort of our patients is always at the front of our minds. Our advanced nursing team provide excellent care to all patients during their stay at SCVS. We also have a team of dedicated veterinary care assistants to ensure patients feel reassured and comforted during their stay.We are searching for an experienced nursing professional who excels in a team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate should be motivated, capable of working both independently and collaboratively, and demonstrate a keen interest in dermatology and an aptitude for leadership. A willingness to develop clinical skills and assist in training colleagues is essential. Confidence in monitoring anaesthesia and possessing clinical nursing skills, including blood sampling and IV placement, is crucial.Working hours that provide flexibilityThis position is 37.5 hours per week, working Monday-Thursday 08:30-18:00 with 1 in 4 Saturdays on a rota basis.Because our employees matterWe recognise that our people are fundamental to the success of our business.
