The post is part of a 1 in 8 orthopaedic on‑call rota and will work alongside core trainees and second‑year residents. Responsibilities Provide clinical care in trauma and orthopaedics across inpatient, outpatient, theatre and on‑call duties. Attend clinic sessions, participate in elective and emergency theatre work, and manage ward patients. Support the Orthogeriatric service with joint care of elderly patients on Cambridge Ward. Contribute to audit, research and quality improvement projects. Engage with the training budget and meet the required clinical hours for progression. Qualifications & Experience Essential: MBBS or equivalent, registered with full or limited registration with the GMC. MRCS examination passed. Completed foundation year 1 or equivalent. Minimum 12 months’ relevant NHS experience. Evidence of contribution to audit, research or teaching is desirable. ATLS provider course desirable. Personal Qualities Ability to work as part of a team. Good communication skills. Enthusiastic and reliable.
