Role Overview The Postholder will have duties similar to a Specialist Registrar year ST3–ST7, working under the guidance of an Obstetrics and Gynaecology Consultant. Responsibilities Cover a variable range of duties in both Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Key member of the medical team responsible for treatment and care of women within antenatal/postnatal wards, the Delivery Suite, Maternity Assessment Unit, Triage, inpatient gynaecology ward, and Accident and Emergency. Part of a 2-tier 1 in 8 on call rota. Undertake outpatient clinics, operating lists, and other elective activities as scheduled. Ensure duties are carried out to the highest possible standard and in accordance with the current quality initiatives. Maintain data quality and comply with policies, procedures, and accountability arrangements throughout the Trust. Perform administrative duties associated with patient care and department administration at ST1/2 level. Travel between hospitals/clinics as necessary, adopting a planned and cost‑effective approach. Perform any other duties that may be required from time to time.
