This is a great opportunity to take up a Consultant position in Obstetrics and Gynaecology based at the Royal Cornwall Hospital NHS Trust. The appointee will join the existing team of Obstetricians, currently we have 10 dedicated gynaecologists, 4 dedicated Obstetricians and a further 6 Consultants doing both Obstetrics and Gynaecology.Video introduction: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hwEgkqNeVdQWe are looking for someone who is passionate and enthusiastic about obstetrics and gynaecology care to join and enhance our existing team. There is flexibility within this team to take on a lead role in a specialist area and to become an integral part of governance and education. An interest in urogynaecology, Complex Early pregnancy and non-elective Gynaecology would be an ideal compliment. Other specialist interests would be considered.The new post holder will be involved in both the acute service, providing obstetric and gynaecology emergency services and be part of our on call rota as well as delivering routine obstetric, gynaecology and specialist clinics and services.We have recently had approval to commence designing a new Women’s and Children’s Hospital with construction to be completed in 2031, this is an exciting time to join our team to help inform our new hospital design.The Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust (RCHT) is the main provider of acute and specialist care services in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
