General Practice Nurse Position: General Practice Nurse (Part‑time, permanent) at Taurus Healthcare Limited / Herefordshire General Practice Location Ryeland Surgery, Westfield Walk, Leominster, Herefordshire, HR68HD Hours & Salary 24–26.5 hours over 3 days: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Pay £15.88 per hour. Job Summary Deliver nursing services as part of the multidisciplinary team, within scope of practice to the entitled patient population. Responsibilities include health promotion, chronic disease management, preventative care and support in reviewing clinical policy and procedure. Key Responsibilities Health screening and monitoring Chronic disease management including annual reviews Administer routine vaccinations and immunisations Cervical screening Wound care and dressings Health promotion and patient education Maintain clinical records and chronic disease registers Collaborate with wider practice team Implement vaccination programmes for adults and children Support clinical emergencies and safeguarding matters Recognise and refer patients with mental health and community health needs Support policy implementation and training programmes Maintain professional registration and revalidation Participate in review of significant events Qualifications Essential: RGN current NMC registration, qualification in at least one chronic disease area (Asthma, COPD or Diabetes). Desirable: Additional chronic disease qualifications, childhood immunisation or cytology qualifications, clinical skills qualification, independent nurse prescriber.
