Join to apply for the Bank General Practitioner role at Practice Plus Group About the Role We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank General Practitioner to join our Primary Care team at HMP Hewell, a category B remand prison based in Redditch, Worcestershire. HMP Hewell has a fast paced healthcare environment delivering care to males aged 21+, with a range of needs including substance misuse and long term conditions. Within this role you will be working closely with our senior nurses to deliver care which includes first night prescribing, discharge prescribing, urgent follow up for duty doctor, general practice and Substance Misuse prescribing. We are looking for a General Practitioner who is a team player and enjoys working with a busy environment where no two days are the same. Hours Sessions available will be between Monday to Friday 9am-9.30pm Saturdays 1pm - 5pm or 2pm - 6pm Salary This is a bank role with a salary of £89 per hour. Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks. You will: Deliver first class healthcare to a diverse group of patients, and therefore as a General Practitioner at Practice Plus Group you get the opportunity to further develop your knowledge in areas you wouldn’t usually experience within a practice, or even A&E environment. Provide clinical assessment and diagnosis to patients' requirements and make timely decisions regarding future management. Provide a highly specialist resource to other members of the healthcare team at site, as well as the patients you work with having active involvement in clinical governance and effectiveness activities. Qualifications Required MBChB or MBBS Inclusion on the GMC Register and GP Performers List Evidence of engagement with annual appraisal Experience working as a General Practitioner in community general practice Evidence of continuing professional development Ability to work with patients with a history of substance misuse RCGP Certificate in Substance Misuse 1 and 2, or prepared to undertake these qualifications Secure environments are one of the most challenging, yet rewarding places for healthcare professionals to work.
