Advanced Nurse Practitioner (Independent Prescriber) Job SummaryTaurus Healthcare has an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to work as an autonomous practitioner within Clinical Service areas, assessing, diagnosing and treating patients in primary care settings and at home. Responsibilities Conduct face‑to‑face, telephone, online and home‑visit consultations. Assess and manage patients, develop and implement personalised care plans using approved protocols. Prioritise and triage patient needs, initiate appropriate investigations or referrals. Prescribe and administer medication following national guidance and EMIS local guidance. Provide expert advice to patients, carers and colleagues, including safeguarding, self‑care education and promotion of public health. Participate in audits, significant event analyses and service improvement activities. Work autonomously and collaboratively with NHS, community and hospital teams to ensure right care in right place at right time. Qualifications & Certifications Current RGN registration, minimum 4 years’ experience in primary care. Advanced Clinical Practice (ACP) qualification at MSc level or equivalent. Independent Prescriber qualification, NMC registered Independent Prescriber. Safeguarding adults and children Level 3, in‑date CPR training (within 18 months). Commitment to professional development and patient safety. Essential Experience Independent autonomous practice within primary care. Experience of EMIS clinical system and use of templates. Excellent verbal and written communication; proficient IT skills. Ability to manage workload, prioritise tasks and work under pressure. Maintaining comprehensive consultation records in line with NMC requirements. Desirable Experience Experience working under pressure and confronting emergencies. Managerial experience. Driver with clean licence. Personal Qualities Organised, friendly, approachable, polite and empathetic. Adaptable, comfortable with changing priorities, team‑player.
