Mobile Operations Manager – Network Rail Location: Farringdon, GB Department: OE LOM KE (103210) G1 About Network Rail Our passengers and freight users are at the heart of everything we do. About the role In this crucial frontline role, you'll be responsible for delivering prompt and effective responses to any accidents and incidents on a section of the railway. Wherever you're needed, you'll make a positive impact, helping us to fix issues. Through careful investigation and reporting, you'll also make sure we understand how to prevent similar events in the future. You may be required to take on the role of Rail Incident Officer, overseeing command structure and leading coordination of infrastructure and service restoration activities. We also expect you to carry out a broad range of operational support duties – from performance monitoring and weather related contingency planning, through to audit and engineering work, stores ordering and vehicle monitoring. This role involves days, nights, and weekend working, and is a safety‑critical role so subject to drug and alcohol testing and passing of the relevant medical assessment. You may also be required to carry out signalling duties as part of your MOM role and may be invited to undertake a signalling assessment. The successful applicant will be required to attend a 7‑week training course as part of your induction.
