Scheduled Care Coordinators (East) Apply to join the NHS Scotland Scheduled Care team at our East Ambulance Control Centre. We are seeking adaptable, patient‑focused candidates to manage national call handling, planning, and control of our Patient Transport vehicles so that eligible patients receive appropriate ambulance transport. The role requires communicating with patients by telephone and liaising with ambulance crews, Health Boards, and other organisations to ensure effective service delivery. Key responsibilities include: Handling national call requests and coordinating transport schedules. Communicating with patients, crews, and stakeholder organisations. Managing patient transport vehicles and ensuring compliance with regulations. Problem‑solving under pressure and working independently. Essential qualifications and skills: Strong computer and keyboard skills (minimum 30 wpm). Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities. Capacity to work effectively under pressure and with minimal supervision. Full system training will be provided. Desired skills: Good customer care Attention to detail Teamworking ability Calmness in stressful environments Sensitivity and understanding Discretion Effective communication skills Ability to follow on‑screen prompts These posts are full‑time, 37 hours over seven days, and are relief positions. Unsocial working hours will be required. To work in the United Kingdom, you must demonstrate the right to work in the country. This right is granted by the UK Visa and Immigration Service.
